Effect of Crop Geometry and Seaweed (Kappaphycus & Gracilaria) Extract on Growth and Yield of Baby corn (Zea mays)

A field experiment was conducted during Zaid, 2022 at Crop Research Farm, Department of Agronomy, SHUATS, Prayagraj (U.P). The soil the experimental plot sandy loam in texture, nearly neutral reaction (pH 7.1), organic carbon (0.74%), available N (273.57 kg/ha), P (31.97 and K (335 kg/ha). treatments comprised crop geometry foliar application Seaweed Extract (Kappaphycus alvarezii & Gracialria). laid out Randomized Block Design with nine each replicated thrice. results showed that viz: Plant height (166.30 cm), plant dry weight (115.82 g/plant) were recorded significantly higher Spacing 45 x 25 cm along 10% (K. sap + G.sap) spray. Number cobs per (1.39), cob length husk (22.32 without (8.34 girth (7.78 (5.15 (67.48 g), (24.92 yield (15.50 t/ha), (5.28 green fodder (30.35 t/ha) higher. Thus, seaweed extract alvarezii) could be a promising option for enhancement baby-corn.
